The 2012 London Olympic Games are winding down, but Ryan Lochte is winding up for his post Olympics career, and he and his agent mean business. The US swimmer differs vastly from phenom teammate Michael Phelps in being brazen, flamboyant, and he’s not afraid to show the world this side of him. He’s quickly learned how quickly the press can turn on you as he was the darling after beating Phelps on Day 1, but then before the week was up, the press were poking fun at him with his interview skills.
Like Ian Thorpe in Athens and Michael Phelps in Beijing, the American swimmer Ryan Lochte could dominate the pool in London this summer, and is planning to bring home a pile of gold to match his diamond-studded smile.
At least, that seems to be the school of thought among the world’s top Olympic heroes who have inked the trademark Olympic Games rings on their fit physiques.
Athletes including the record-breaking U.S. gold medalist Michael Phelps, Ryan Lochte and swimmer Elizabeth Beisel, who each sport tattoos of the logo on their bodies.
